LISA KIMMET – Ruby Class Teacher

Ms. Lisa has a degree in elementary education from Montana State University. She has over 10 years of experience teaching children from preschool through second grade. She was a cooperative preschool parent with her own daughter and loved everything about the experience. Lisa has taught at Tahoma Cooperative Preschool for many years and likes to create an atmosphere for students to grow and learn through a variety of hands on experiences. She especially likes to focus on engaging circle time activities that include songs, stories and movement.
Ms. Lisa enjoys being very active in her daughters’ lives by volunteering at their school, coaching their sports teams and spending a great deal of time in the car chauffeuring them to their numerous activities during the week. As a family they enjoy hiking, camping, biking, skiing, traveling and watching sporting events. Ms. Lisa also enjoys to spend time in the kitchen cooking and baking up delicious creations. She lives in the Covington area with her husband, two daughters, dog, two cats and fish.
MOLLY ALSEPT – Emerald Class Teacher

Ms. Molly completed her education at EWU and has over 20 years of teaching experience in both Kindergarten and Preschool. She holds a Montessori certificate and taught in a Montessori preschool for a couple of years. Ms. Molly says that early childhood education is a true passion of hers, and she feels so blessed to get to do what she loves! Throughout the 2020-2021 school year, Ms. Molly ran a free, outreach preschool remotely as a way to give back to the community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Ms. Molly has three amazing children – all young adults – and a wonderful husband. She loves spending time with her family and their two dogs. When not in the classroom, Ms. Molly dabbles in interior design. Ms. Molly is so excited to teach at Tahoma Cooperative Preschool this coming school year and looks forward to meeting all the wonderful co-op families!
ALEXA NERGAARD – Sapphire and Diamond Class Teacher

Ms. Alexa is the Sapphire and Diamond teacher here at Tahoma Cooperative Preschool. Alexa’s background is primarily in elementary education, however she has taught kids from preschool through grade 8. Alexa graduated with a Master’s in Mathematics Education and loves watching children fall in love with learning at any age.
Alexa was born and raised in Black Diamond, so she feels deeply connected with the Maple Valley community. She currently lives in the Lake Sawyer area with her husband and three kids, ages 7, 5, and 3. All of her children have been through TCP’s program, and her youngest will finish his last year next school year. For fun, her family loves to camp, kayak, hike, play all of the sports, cook spicy food together, and create fun DIY projects. Alexa’s family is always up for new adventures in the great Pacific Northwest and thrive spending quality time together.
